The Perfect Month To Buy Auto Insurance

A majority of motor vehicle owners do not put much thought into the time of year when they ought to be purchasing auto insurance. Recent studies, however, reveal that the worst month to think about renewing or getting new insurance is the month of December. Insurance buyers end up paying a lot more than if they bought it in other months. Professional advice that you should consider looking for vehicle insurance during summer because you may get reasonable rates than getting them before end year. Past four years, reveal that average costs of car cover in December rises by around 13% when compared with average rates during other months according to Comparemarket.com.

It implies that drivers who want to get their annual policies can fall into expensive traps where they will spend more on their insurance. Surge in prices that occur at this time yearly could be because of diminishing competition from policy providers as they ease up and close shop for festive periods. However, it is not to say that a person should not be vigilant when shopping for assurance in other months as drivers still have to do due diligence to allow them to identify best among the rest car insurance quote Barrie to ensure they get premium cover at reasonable rates.

Experts claim that for most parts of Mid and end December especially during festivities and New Year, there is limited availability of call centers as well as numerous companies doing IT. This means that number of quotes generated reduces drastically. Providers who are left to offer coverage cease the opportunity to charge higher prices. They know that clients do not have too many options and that they may be at their mercy to drive their cars with proper insurance. Different years present varying months when auto insurance buyers can find cover at lower rates. Studies show that these months frequently fall in spring and summer.

Note that after a spike in rates in December, insurance prices also fall drastically in January when they can drop by an average of 8%. It is a trend that occurs even in periods when it seems like insurance costs are only shooting in an upward direction. January may be one of the best months to purchase vehicle cover because most of the available policy providers have gotten back to business and they may reduce their rates so that they can get more clients who will ensure they begin their sales start on a high.
