1957 TO 2003
« on: August 09, 2008, 04:48:39 PM »
Hi all ... new guy here ... Ed / REBEL

Live in Leamington, work as millwright at H.J.Heinz.
I have a 57 Bel Air, 67 Malibu Rag, 03 SSR, and my beater is 88ck Stepside which is going strong.

I have had two more 57 Bel Air sport coupes, 66 Malibu rag, 68 Camaro rag.
73 Firebird
My first car 65 Ford Fairlane GT. (Sorry I was only 16 at the time)

I was influenced by Ed Roth as a boy and now enjoy airbrushing. I want to build from scratch, my own body for Tracker running gear.

Can I have a new Camaro to do up for SEMA ??????

I bought a 57 and enjoyed it. Then bought a second 57 and took the best pieces off both cars and put in one and sold the other.
Then I did it again with a third 57 buy.
This pictured 57 is the third one I had a 283 truck block bored and balenced as a 301. Then after a couple bent rods and cracked skirt I swaped it out for a 400 small block. You can see the Roth's "Mothers worry" influence.

I joined this site to thank the people who put the show on this past Friday.
But now I think I might hang around to pick up info on my LM4 in the SSR. Warranty is up in 2010 and maybe I can get some LS swap parts or suggestions to get more power and durability out of it then.
It’s a 5000lb truck that I have installed 4:56 gears.
But she rides like a caddy in the curves, love it.

Hope G.M. has learned from the SSR and prices the Camaro right from the start.
03 SSR with LM4 listed at 78k
Every model year after that, it was cheaper and better equipped.
I’m gun shy to buy first year now. G.M. trained me … ouch
