GM vehicles are not as fuel efficient as comparable imports?
« on: October 16, 2008, 11:17:58 AM »
A visit to the EPA fuel economy site shows that, segment for segment, GM vehicles are competitive with any vehicles in the market.

GM currently has more models with EPA highway ratings of 30 mpg or better than any other carmaker, 18 in total.

We are not resting on our success. We are working to further improve the fuel economy of every new vehicle we build. For example, we recently announced plans for a new Chevy compact car, the Cruze, which is expected to have signficantly better fuel economy than the Cobalt, which is already among the most fuel efficient vehicles in its segment.

Now the problem is How do we get the word out there? Changing the publics perception is an uphill battle.

Couldn't agree with you more! There is one particular radio personality right here in the city that I think needs to be given some more accurate information on what GM is all about and what they are currently doing.

I think GM has a done a good job with some of their 'newer' sites GM Facts & Fiction and I'm For GM.

Does anyone know if there are any shirts or hats available with the I'm for GM slogan on them? If not that may be at least one way to do it. I go to a number of car shows throughout the summer months and I'd be more then happy to purchase a shirt or hat like that and proudly wear it at any of these shows or any other time for that matter.  :chevy:

We had a S & S meeting today and Mike raised that proposal about putting that on our show T-Shirts. I think it is a great idea! Will keep you posted.

Sounds like a great idea! Also I don't know if you accept any help outside of the employee base but if you do I'd be more then willing to help out on the day of the show or even for setup or something. Just let me know.

I'm at the show each year with OQCGP.
